Interviews

Easton:

Thanks to Sheri for making this possible. I was able to steal a few minutes of Eason's time to have him answer some questions for the JBMers.

JBM:
Let me start by asking you some standard questions. When and how did you get into the adult industry? I hear you used to do content work could you tell us more about that please.

EASTON:
I started out doing content back in 2000. After two years, I started building TGPs. Being in front of the camera was entertaining at the time, but there comes a point where it's just not fun anymore. It's not always the fun time people think it is - all the starting and stopping, the heat from the lights, getting angles right, etc. It's still a job.

JBM:
Why did you stop doing content work? Was it related to bad pay or did you just get tired of doing it?

EASTON:
It had nothing to do with the pay - doing content work was a side hobby for me, not my main job. I stopped being in front of the camera so Sheri would go out with me. It was a good decision and I haven't "stunt cocked" in 3 years.

JBM:
You were in the stock market before, how did that work out? Would you say the transition between that and doing content was a difficult one?

EASTON:
Again acting as talent wasn't my main job - I am actually also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). I had a hearty client base on top of my own trading and I'd shoot after work or on the weekends.

JBM:
Ok so you and Sheri are pretty much married (I'm kidding!). Where did you meet Sheri? Does it help to have a significant other who is also in the industry?

EASTON:
Sheri and I knew each other from the shows and webmaster boards. Of course it helps having her in the biz with me... I don't know if anyone else would be thrilled with what I do all day if they weren't in the biz and knew it's not all fun and games.

JBM:
Could you tell us more about WildWestCash. Do you feel that in part your success is due to luck? (Holly is absolutely phenomenal)

EASTON:
I have the content shooting experience and financial experience and Sheri has her mainstream consulting firm (marketing, media buying, traffic, etc) - we both were doing pretty well with our adult ventures and decided it was a perfect match to work together. After a couple hours over lunch we came up with some wild ideas for paysites. We ran some numbers, did quite a bit of research and Wild West Cash was born. Luck has nothing to do with it. Sheri and I work extremely hard and I think it's paid off. Extreme Holly was a sweet find, Extreme Alex is a great addition and we have Extreme Girl #3 coming this year.

JBM:
What do you foresee happening with this industry in the next 2 years? Having stock market experience you probably know a thing or 2 about other industries, how could you correlate what has happened in adult with some of the other ventures you may have been a part of in your lifetime?

EASTON:
I see the industry slimming down and becoming more niche. It's been too all over the place for too long - I think the big fish will eat up more of the little fish, but that happens in a lot of industries.

JBM:
Wildwestcash definitely stands out from the competition. Do you feel that the more "nichey" affiliate programs have a better chance of succeeding in the market?

EASTON:
We aim for the micro-niche. With so many paysites out there these days you have to do something different. Wait until you see what we have coming out - it's the first of its kind, we know this because our members are already going crazy over the idea and keep telling us they can't find this kind of content anywhere. And it's not even extreme.

JBM:
I went to one of your websites and Holly's banner said "I wish I was in Dallas So you could fuck me". How has GEO-IP affected your business? Do you foresee any new technologies taking us by storm in the near future?

EASTON:
Geo-IP gives that extra bit of flair to an advertisement - it's funny that amazingly some guys don't even realize it's a Geo-IP ad. Every once in a while a new member will e-mail Holly or Alex and ask them how they knew he was in Chicago. I do see some more ways to market via new-ish technologies, but I'm not spilling the beans about it.

JBM:
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to answer some questions. Anything interesting you'd like to add for the JBMers to see?

EASTON:
Thanks Nick - everyone keep an eye out: Wild West Cash has a few new exclusive sites coming out that will be sure to grab your attention, as we always do!
