Jamie: Yea pretty much

Any interesting story about the name of the company?
Jamie: nothing
too interesting basically we heard the name and said lets
go
with it ....being huge run dmc and beastie boy fans...just
fit right in
Brian:
Damn not that I can remember I know we all thought it sounded
good.
JBM:
What you did before the adult internet?
Jamie:
I went to college, after school I began writing code
for various web
sites ..I also ran a pc hardware company for Gro Biz International.
Brian:
I worked for my father as and electrician and alarm tech growing
up. In college worked as a night club promoter, that was probably
the best job I ever had. Working the front door at the hottest
clubs defiantly had its perks.
JBM:
How did you get into the adult net?
Jamie: I was
offered a great deal of money at a young age programming for
an
adult company and I took it .....That's where i really learned
the adult
business.....creating the systems that maintained the data,
membership
info , billing the cards and content .
Brian:
I meet the guys who opened Voyeurdorm.com and wired all the
cams in the house for them. From there I lived in the house
and "managed" the girls. Being a 20 year old kid
in that situation it didn't take long before I got in trouble.
After I graduated college I went to work for them selling
content CandidCam, hosting for CandidHosting, and running
CandidCash.
JBM:
What do you do at work?
Jamie: Review
stats data, talk to people I do business with ...always looking
for new deals ....harass our customer service girl s......
eat lunch ...I
occasionally flirt with MFM only when he is in a good mood
though :)
Brian:
Check stats and ahhh hmmm check stats. Look for new ways to
make money and of course answer and cater to our affiliates
and customers, I'm always on ICQ and that takes away a big
chunk of my already short day at the office. That and post
on JBM or play poker!
JBM:
What are your strong points in this business?
Jamie: My strong
points are my abilities to create and maintain business
relationships with companies...I also have a strong understanding
of
what it takes to maintain affiliate software, content management
and
membership information including fraud prevention at the transactions
levels ....knowing where your users are and having data on
what they are
looking at is key in our business.
Brian:
Sales skills and running numbers. Dealing with people and
making sure all of our customers and affiliates are happy
and well taken care of. Other than that I'm pretty much useless.
JBM:
What's your biggest disappointment?
Jamie: Pertaining
the business I would have to say the overall lack of
professionalism there is in our business. I cant tell you
how many times
I speak to people that really have no idea what it takes to
run a
business or even the ethics that should be used while dealing
with
people.
Brian:
Not starting a cash program and working for myself earlier
in the game.
JBM:
How has the webmaster community changed over the years?
Jamie: I believe
it has gotten a light tighter between the program
owners...people are way more weary of "new " companies.
...so many
people have been ripped off and scammed that's its pretty
hard for a new
program to come out and land large clients . Its really more
about the
people behind the program then the program itself.
Brian:
Lotta faces and ideas come and go. I think we've gotten over
the hump as an industry and have weeded out some of the idiots.
Hopefully this will continue and more people will treat what
we do more as a business and less as a party.
JBM:
What's the most unusual thing you have had in your ass?
Jamie:
I would have to say the time Brian and I were in
Costa Rica and we
hooked into a large rooster fish .....as it came up i was
bent over
picking up something and WHAM ........well you get the rest
:)
Brian:
MFM's pinky finger.
JBM:
You guys throw some great dinners, where are you taking me
in Vegas?
Jamie:
Back to my room so I can show you my ........um.......man
hammer ?
....Seriously though this year we didn't do a dinner. I think
Vegas is a
bit harder to get everyone together ...so we decided not to.
Brian:
Thanks man that dinner was a blast. Vegas lets see, Rosewood,
Palm, naa wait I got it. There's this party called Cristal
for All. Have you heard of it? If you're lucky I'll try getting
you a ticket. you may have to dress up like a chick though,
is that cool?
JBM:
What's a typical day around the offices?
Jamie: HAHAHHA
funny you should ask this ..we don't run a typical 10-7
operation ..I usually get in around 11am or so ....eat some
lunch
...harass our customer service girls.....check stats for the
make sure
everything is up running and cb's are down .......then usually
around
3-4 Brian and I are looking for our nightly house poker game
...All
though yesterday we jetted out around 3pm went and got the
new Motorola
Razor phones.......then went to the cigar bar had two shots
of Louis
smoked two Cohibas ...had some more drinks ....so around 7pm
I was ready
to go home ...............and pass out....!
Brian:
Come in check my icq's, emails, stats. Look around for new
deals and throw stuff at Jamie head. Honestly I don't work
as much at the office as I do from home. I usually get it
at 11 and leave by 5 and of course take a long lunch in between.
I'll let Jamie run down our day yesterday, Louis XIII and
Cuban Cigars make for one hell of an afternoon.
JBM:
How do you see the coming years for the adult net turning
out?
Jamie: I believe
that this business will be hear here for the long term
...maybe not the companies.....maybe not the same ways we
do business
....but the act of selling adult content online will be here
for the
long term . Only the smart ones that adapt to the new ways
of business
will stay afloat.
Brian:
As long as the big V doesn't kill us all I see things as being
all good. Of course they'll be a lot of change, but if you
can "Do the dance" and keep things rolling it'll
be all good. Billing is getting to be a major issue so I'm
sure that will have to be dealt with. I know we're in this
for the long run and I feel confident the strong companies
with good ties will survive.
JBM:
Are you rich? (and by rich I mean are you into large mexican
men working
for Zimm)
Jamie: There
is a difference between being wealthy..and being rich ..
rich can be spent in a summer with a bad drug habit and some
woman
..Wealthy is in your family for ever unless you really work
at losing it
all ..I am trying to become wealthy for future generations
of my family
......My goal is to be wealthy by the time im 40 so I have
15 years to
make that happen.... so to answer your question yea I'm pretty
much into
large Mexican men ..I mean who isn't now a days..
Brian:
No but my old man is, does that count? I'm working on it though.
JBM:
Who do you admire in this biz?
Jamie: My partner
Brian for putting up with me!
Brian:
The pioneers of the biz for starters. Without them none of
us would be here.
JBM:
Any advice you would give to newbies?
Jamie: Yes...
ease your way into this business ....nothing will happen over
night ...time and smart decisions will pay off in the long
run ..oh and
if you plan to rip of the illcash crew ..you better leave
the country

Brian:
Don't jump in thinking this biz is easy and don't give up
once you find out how hard it can be. There is still a lot
of money to be made in the industry. Ohh and if you have traffic

Have you ever seen JustB naked?
Jamie: Nope
..but she is a sweet sweet woman though ..very nice :) If
she
wasn't married maybe id hint to it .... :)
Brian:
No but I worked across the hall from her for a long time.
